How our company was developed
This all started as a small Ethiopian boy’s passionate dream about his mother’s coffee. Now the dream has become a proud reality. All of us at Paramount Original Coffee want to share Ethiopia’s unforgettable gift to the world – amazing and completely authentic Ethiopian coffee. But we wanted to do it in a sensible and responsible way that pays the proper respects to not only our country but also our heritage and culture.
A Message from Our Founder
As a proud Ethiopian, coffee was an ever-present fixture in my life. When I was little, I would regularly watch my mother prepare coffee ceremonies several times a week. I didn’t understand it at the time, but coffee was more than just a tasty, hot drink – coffee wove our community tightly together through unshakeable social bonds. Coffee was our way of bringing people from all walks of life together to not only enjoy coffee but to socialize, to laugh together – to bond.

There are certain scents in life that can instantly take you back to special, unforgettable moments in your childhood. For me, that smell is fresh coffee beans quietly roasting in a pan. I remember my own growing anticipation as well as others in my community as my mother walked around with her pan, letting everyone have a whiff of the delicious aroma that was so rich with fruit and floral notes. She took so much pride in her duties. She knew full well that everyone looked forward to her coffee. For us Ethiopians, coffee wasn’t just a delicious and energizing beverage, but also a way of life. We are fully invested in bringing the same wonderful, traditional, and authentic coffee experience to you in the best way possible.
